About Me

Hi, I’m Mary. I am currently a student within the User Experience Design concentration of Rutgers’ Master of Business and Science Program. Over the last 2+ years, I have worked alongside fellow user experience design and product design students as well as students concentrating in cybersecurity, data analytics, drug discovery and development, and food science to learn the value of technological development and business. I’m driven to design because I value accessibility, creativity and beauty, and I want to use my skills to help others realize their vision. I give back by mentoring fellow students in professional life, find joy in nature, and derive strength from the reassurance that every day provides opportunities to grow.

As a designer, it is my goal to transform client visions into reality. My experience and educational and educational background in User Experience Design has taught me how to translate complex problems into clear, accessible experiences through wireframes, prototypes, and iterative testing. My process is grounded in empathy and backed by business insight — combining user needs with organizational goals to deliver design solutions that are both impactful and scalable.

Courses such as Introduction to User Experience Design, Contextual Inquiry, Strategic Content Management with WordPress, and Visual Design have taught me how to lead and collaborate on projects involving user research, usability testing, information architecture, and UI design. I frequently work with Figma, Webflow, and usability testing platforms, with a growing focus on accessibility and inclusive design. My portfolio reflects a blend of user-centered research, interaction design, and strategic thinking, with projects that span web and mobile platforms, service design, and product development.

I aspire to work as a UX Designer or Product Designer because it sits at the powerful intersection of human needs, creative problem-solving, and real-world impact. I’ve always been drawn to understanding how people think, behave, and interact with technology, especially when those interactions shape daily experiences like healthcare, education, work, or mobility. Ultimately, I want to create products that are intuitive, inclusive, and meaningful, and I see UX and product design as the most dynamic, impactful space to do that. It’s where curiosity, creativity, and care for people converge – exactly where I want to be.

I’m passionate about creating thoughtful, intentional work and always looking to grow through new challenges and collaboration. Feel free to explore my portfolio to see how I approach design problems and bring ideas to life.
